A BIT ABOUT ME
Why do I coach? I am in the “giving back” phase of my life with an abundance of wisdom to share. My life mission is to encourage, inspire and empower men and women to be leaders at work, in their families and communities so that South Africa can thrive.
I’m the eldest of five kids and found meaning in leadership at an early age. It developed into a lifelong passion that’s supported my success. Today I’m a family man who enjoys travel, business, people, current affairs, the arts, the gym and community service.
My career started at ICI in the UK as Marketing Manager. Back in South Africa, I became National Sales Manager, Operations Manager and Acting Director for Industrial Chemicals at AECI Ltd. The pinnacle and most enjoyable part of my career came when I was appointed as CEO and MD of M-Net and SuperSport. I later sat on the Naspers Management Board and currently serve as a Director of Naspers Beleggings.
Shortly after its formation, I joined Change Partners Coaching as a Partner, where I still enjoy developing high-level leaders. Today, I have more than 20 years of coaching experience in blue-chip companies and diverse industries, including mining, energy, chemicals, manufacturing, transport, finance, insurance, media, health and education. I also enjoy working in the government and related sectors and coaching pro bono in NPOs.
