Wendy gained her extensive general management experience in the services industry over the past 20 years. Her last position was as General Manager at Change Partners where she was responsible for running their leadership development business. She was also exposed to their ongoing coaching training programme.
Wendy describes herself as “an organised person with a strong ability to deliver on strategy”. She sets high standards for herself and her colleagues and her strong value system is core to her beliefs. She is good at and enjoys motivating people and is seen as very efficient. She was able to put all these skills to good use when she trained and practiced as a Face-to-Face LifeLine Counsellor. Wendy’s love of coaching evolved out of her empathy for people and her exposure to coaching over the past four years at Change Partners. She herself has been coached and found the experience most worthwhile. She says “the uniqueness of coaching is that there are few times in life when one really reflects on one’s impact on others”.
Wendy trained in accounting at Birnam Business College and completed a Diploma in Public Relations at Damelin Management School while she was Administrative Director and shareholder of Westcom Public Relations (1979 to 2006). Wendy is currently doing her post graduate certificate in coaching with Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. As a member of Change Partners, she is a member of COMENSA and The Global Coaching Partnership (TGCP).
