Chris Oliobi

Chris is a doctor of veterinary medicine, and has been developing leaders and teams for 20 years.

For over 12 years, Chris was SADC regional director of the Navigators, an international non-profit human resource and leadership development organisation that operates in 120 countries.

He has developed cross-cultural functional teams in many countries and has served as director on the executive boards of several organisations, including the Adoose Specialist Hospital, Channel Finance and Trust. Chris is also Managing Partner of VanishingPoint Market Resources.

He has coached leaders at DAETA International Trading, Gold Fields South Africa, Royal Bafokeng Holdings, SAFEC Holdings, Vodacom South Africa and the SA National Blood Service.

For 20 years, Chris has fostered values and ethics based leadership, and advocates transformation from inside out. He believes that a first step in this process is the definition of core values – “Until this is done, the ship the leader is trying to steer has no rudder. The process of defining or refining vision, mission, strategy and outcomes is enhanced when values are clear.”

Chris is a doctor of veterinary medicine with a Master of Philosophy specialisation in Epidemiology and Economics from the University of Reading, UK, and a certified MBTI professional administrator with the Centre for Application of Psychology Types of the USA. He holds the Middlesex University post-graduate certificate in Coaching and a certificate in Management from the University of the Witswatersrand.
