Dale, Managing Director of Change Partners, has broad
international experience. He has worked as financial
director for British, Swiss and a number of South
African conglomerates.
He has successfully coached leaders for a decade and –
after a period in the UK absorbing world best practice –
has helped to grow Change Partners into South Africa’s
leading executive coaching brand. He has worked with
business leaders in a variety of sectors and at various
stages of their careers.
A current focus area is effective delivery, despite
lower growth. “Business has advanced from a period of
tokenism to an era of ownership,” he says. “South Africa
offers a myriad of opportunities, but with this comes
the need to take ownership, execute and deliver.” Dale
heads up Change Partners Leadership Development
Consulting initiative.
Dale distinguishes between responsibility (rolling out
someone else’s theory) and ownership (making an
initiative yours and having the courage and
determination to deliver).
“I encourage clients to play to their strengths,” says
Dale. “I like to challenge and stretch them.” My biggest
thrill is witnessing another’s success, and “the bottom
line is seeing how clients grow in courage and
self-confidence and add value to both themselves and
their businesses.”
Dale, a CA (SA) with an ACMA qualification in cost and
management accounting, holds the Middlesex University
post-graduate certificate in Coaching.
