COACHING FOR MENTORING
This product uses coaching skills to ‘future-proof’ mentoring
structures. The service helps organisations position mentoring through
discussions with stakeholders, fosters organisational understanding of
who should be mentors and equips selected mentors with key coaching
techniques to encourage a more participatory, less prescriptive
mentoring style. Programme participants are given better insight into
their role and how to optimise the mentorship opportunity. A six-month
support process helps mentors establish themselves as effective mentors
while feedback over this period fosters the development of a Mentoring
Community within their organisation. This helps organisations make
mentoring a sustainable component of human capital development.
In addition, customised packages can be developed to assist managers
with special needs. These categories include performance management and
safety management where coaching techniques can assist executives to
become more creative and effective.
